How Do I Update Issue Aware Tickets?

This article will explain how to update Issue Aware (IA) tickets in the Pearson Online Classroom.

To add a comment to an Issue Aware (IA) ticket, first determine who the owner is. You may choose an owner using the drop-down menu if you need to add a comment and send the IA to a different owner.

Add your message in the comment box. Remember, this is a secure location so you may use student names. The online classroom is a HIPAA/FERPA compliant site. Every time a comment is added, an e-mail notification will be sent to all the stakeholders listed on the Issue Aware (IA) ticket.

If the comment is time sensitive, you may add a target date or due date. You may also
change the urgency. Please use only “important” or “urgent” from the choices in the drop
down. Remember to change the “owner” of the ticket if you need that individual to respond
or take an action as a result of your comment.

Some schools have multiple providers or school staff members on the same IA. Multiple
comments may be made throughout the day. Please make sure to read all
communications as they come through. Remember to always hit save and finish.
Please do not hit “save and close.” Only the creator of the Issue Aware (IA) ticket should do
this. If an IA is closed, stakeholders cannot edit the description or add new comments.
