4. What does the training cover?

By completing the course, providers will be able to:

  • Understand foundational special education concepts, compliance expectations, and the collaborative responsibilities of virtual related service providers.
  • Apply best practices for documenting services, participating in IEP meetings, and communicating effectively with families and school teams.
  • Navigate key systems, resources, support channels, and provider workflows.

        5. How long will the training take?

The training is expected to take less than two hours to complete.

Providers may invoice only for the actual time spent completing the training, up to a maximum of two hours.

        6. When must the training be completed?

Providers must complete the training within 30 calendar days of receiving access to the training.

        8. What is required to complete the training?

Training is considered complete when the provider:

        1. Reviews all required training content.
        2. Completes all required knowledge checks.
        3. Completes and submits the proof of completion sent after completing the form linked at the end of the training. This proof should be submitted with the invoice.

              9. Why is the attestation form important?

The combination of completed knowledge checks and the submission of the attestation form at the end of the course confirms that the provider has completed the required training content. Providers will receive an email confirming completion and this should be submitted with the invoice.

The proof of completion must be submitted for:

              • Training completion to be recorded
              • The provider to be identified as having fulfilled the training requirement
              • Training reimbursement to be processed
              • Complete all required training content.
              • Complete all required knowledge checks.
              • Complete the attestation form linked at the end of the training. Submit the confirmation email with the vendor’s invoice.

              • Record the number of minutes for the training, not to exceed 120 minutes.

Completing the course without submitting the attestation form will not satisfy the full completion requirement.

                    10. How will completion be tracked?

Pearson Virtual Schools will track completion using the submitted knowledge checks and attestation form. These are all in the course.

Pearson Virtual Schools will also provide vendors with periodic updates on the completion status of applicable providers within their organizations.
